Today I went to a local (if an hour's drive can be called local) Japanese market. The van ride was a bit dull, but I did have my first bowl of non-instant ramen and first bottle of Ramune soda today. I also tried a sweet red bean paste bun which was quite tasty for a dessert and had some pocky later.

Though I am pretty much immune to sugar induced craziness some other people in the group I went with weren't quite as resistant which meant the ride back was a bit louder than the ride there. On the whole though it was fun, but I probably won't be going again for a while. This trip was done with my school's vehicles which meant no paying for gas or tolls... And going through about five toll stations each way at $1+ each makes it pretty costly to go there often.

At least I bought some stuff to take home... Namely another bottle of soda, a big box of pocky, and lunch in the form of a bag of pre-packaged ramen. Not really the kind found in the styrofoam cups.

I was being cheap since leftover money from this goes to my convention fund... At least I got my whole registration thing straightened out though.
